Hardly Working<\/em> explores the work and life realities of NPCs \u2013 the non-player characters in video games that populate the digital world as extras to create the impression of normality. A laundress, a stable boy, a street sweeper, a carpenter \u2013 they are Sisyphean machines whose work routines and activity patterns, as well as bugs and malfunctions, paint a vivid analogy of work under capitalism. Winner of the Pardi di domani Best Direction Award and Junior Jury Award at Locarno.<\/p>\r\n
