In collaboration with the Royal Danish Embassy, the<\/span>\u00a0actor Zlatko Buri\u0107 Ki\u0107o<\/strong> (Pusher<\/em>,\u00a0Dirty Pretty Things<\/em>, Quit Staring at My Plate<\/em>, Triangle of Sadness<\/em>) will hold a lecture. In a conversation with moderator Hrvojka Begovi\u0107<\/strong>, Zlatko Buri\u0107 will discuss his acting career from the very beginnings until today, his experiences with working in both theatre and film, and the differences between working on small independent productions and large international ones. He will share his work processes with the audience and also address his personal and professional inspirations and life choices. ZLATKO BURI\u0106 KI\u0106O<\/b><\/p>\n

Croatian film and theatre actor born in 1953. He is one of the founders of the Zagreb alternative theatre troupe Kugla Theatre. After the breakup of the group, he moved to Denmark with his wife. He earned his professional breakthrough with a prominent role in Nicolas Winding Refn\u2019s Pusher<\/em> trilogy (1996), followed by a string of film and TV projects, including Stephen Frears\u2019 thriller Dirty Pretty Things<\/em> (2002). He has appeared in a number of notable roles in Croatian films, including Hana Ju\u0161i\u0107\u2019s Quit Staring at My Plate<\/em> (Venice 2016 \u2013 FEDEORA Award). HRVOJKA BEGOVI\u0106<\/b><\/p>\n

Born in Zagreb in 1982. She graduated in acting from the Academy of Dramatic Art and Philosophy and Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities in Zagreb. She worked in public and media relations for various film festivals (ZFF, ZagrebDox, MFF, Animafest, RAF). Since 2012, she has been a member of the Zagreb Youth Theatre ensemble. She appeared in a number of independent theatre productions and films. In 2014, she was nominated for a Croatian Actor Award for the leading female role in the graduation play Tartuffe<\/em>.
