In cooperation with the Croatian Film Editors\u2019 Association (HFM) and the Italian Cultural Institute, ZFF presents a masterclass by Cristiano Travaglioli<\/strong>, one of the most prominent European editors and the artist behind the visual masterpieces of Italian director Paolo Sorrentino. In a conversation with award-winning Croatian editors Vladimir Gojun<\/strong> and Tomislav Pavlic<\/strong>, Cristiano Travaglioli will talk about his work, the challenges he faced and the experience of editing projects such as This Must Be the Place<\/em> (2011), Youth<\/em> (2015), The Young Pope<\/em> (2016) and The Great Beauty<\/em> (2013), for which he received the European Film Academy Award.<\/p>\n","custom_css_toggle":false,"custom_css":"","content":false},{"acf_fc_layout":"split_view","background_color":"","text_color":"","image":false,"left_column":" CRISTIANO TRAVAGLIOLI<\/b><\/p>\n Italian editor, born in 1968. He completed the DAMS program at the University of Bologna and later trained at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. He began his film career volunteering as an assistant on the set of the comedy Lo zio di Brooklyn<\/em> (1995). His continuing collaboration with Paolo Sorrentino began in 2001, when he was assistant editor on the feature One Man Up<\/em>. He was subsequently the editor on Sorrentino\u2019s films Il Divo<\/em> (2008), This Must Be the Place<\/em> (2011), The Great Beauty<\/em> (European Film Award for Best Editor 2013), Youth<\/em> (2015) and the TV series The Young Pope<\/em> (2016). Other highlights in his filmography include Another Woman\u2019s Face<\/em> (2012) by Pappi Corsicato, The Mafia Kills Only in Summer<\/em> by Pierfrancesco Diliberto, better known as Pif, and Black Souls<\/em> (2014) directed by Francesco Munzi.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"split_view","background_color":"","text_color":"","image":false,"left_column":" VLADIMIR GOJUN<\/b><\/p>\n Born in Dubrovnik in 1979. He graduated in Editing at the Academy of Dramatic Art, where he curently works as assistant professor. He is a long-time selector of ZFF\u2019s Croatian shorts program, Checkers. Editor of award-winning feature films and documentaries (Buick Riviera<\/em>, Behind the Glass<\/em>, You Carry Me<\/em>, Men do not cry, The Frog<\/em>, All Alone<\/em>, Murina<\/em>, Kick and Scream<\/em>, Cash & Marry<\/em>, Houston<\/em>, We Have a Problem!<\/em>, My World Is Upside Down<\/em>, The Steel Mill Caf\u00e9<\/em>), as well as a series of short films. He directed four documentary films (Cycles<\/em>, In My Time of Depression<\/em>). He graduated in Editing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. His filmography includes about 30 feature films, including some of the most popular Croatian titles (Fine Dead Girls<\/em>, The High Sun<\/em>, On the Other Side<\/em>, The Last Serb in Croatia<\/em>, Lada Kamenski<\/em> and Erased<\/em>). He is also the editor of several short and documentary films and TV series (Road Patrol<\/em>, The Paper<\/em>, The Last Socialist Artefact<\/em>). For his work, he has been awarded five Golden Arena awards at the Pula Film Festival and two awards at Croatian Film Days.
