Audition as Networking is a two-day workshop intended for actors who want to get a better, behind-the-scenes understanding of the audition process, learn how to present themselves and their work to directors, casting directors and producers, and how to use the audition as an opportunity for networking. During the workshop, under the guidance of actress Katarina Madirazza, participants will cover self-tape techniques, commenting on auditions, headshots and showreels, in group and one-on-one settings. At the end, they will present their acting work to director Filip Herakovi\u0107, casting director Sanja Drakuli\u0107 and producers Matija Drnikovi\u0107 and Tamara Babun, who will share with them tips on preparing for auditions and reveal what filmmakers look for in the auditioning process.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop is free of charge, the number of participants is limited, while the workshop is open to spectators.<\/b><\/p>\n

Katarina Madirazza is a professional actress. She graduated from ADU in Zagreb and the Prague Film School. She is active in theatre, film and television, in Croatia and abroad. She is the founder of the Petit Theater, where she conducts the workshop \u201cAudition as Networking\u201d. She had the idea for the workshop after attending numerous domestic and foreign workshops herself, where she recognised a problem plaguing numerous actors, as well as film and TV productions \u2013 a lack of auditions and a constantly repeating handful of actors! Tamara Babun is a film producer from Zagreb. In 2017, she founded the production company Wolfgang&Dolly, after more than a decade of professional experience in film, television and theatre. She was the producer or co-producer on the feature film <\/span>Pelican<\/span><\/i>, documentary <\/span>Little Star Rising<\/span><\/i>, short film <\/span>Paradise<\/span><\/i>, documentaries <\/span>A Two Way Mirror<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>The People Are the Way <\/span><\/i>and numerous other projects, and she also participated in the production of the films <\/span>Tusta, Louder than Guns, Goli, Generation \u201868, Happily Ever After <\/span><\/i>and others. As a casting director, she worked on numerous international films, including <\/span>The Dark Tower, Ibiza, Hitman\u2019s Wife\u2019s Bodyguard, The Weekend Away, Faraway, Camino, Master and Margarita<\/span><\/i>, the children\u2019s show <\/span>Momo<\/span><\/i>, and <\/span>Canary Black<\/span><\/i>. She is a long-time drama teacher (ZKM, Luda Ku\u0107a) and a member of the European Film Academy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matija Drnikovi\u0107 (Zagreb, 1993) graduated in Film Production at ADU. He worked at Nukleus film as a junior producer, where he participated in various international film productions. He worked for Nanobit, for which he wrote stories and content for video games. He is currently a producer at production company Wolfgang&Dolly, where he is involved in all projects, many of which he initiated himself. He has been creating and leading film workshops for children and young people for more than seven years. He has participated in numerous workshops, such as Screen Leaders, EAVE Marketing, EAVE Ties That Bind, Rotterdam Lab, Sarajevo Talents, MAIA. Filip Herakovi\u0107 (Pula, 1989) graduated in Film and TV Directing at ADU. He wrote and directed several short films that screened at national and regional film festivals. His first feature <\/span>Pelican<\/span><\/i> (2022) premiered at the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn, where he won the Special Jury Prize for Directing. He is currently finishing the short fiction film <\/span>Crocodile\u2019s Teeth<\/span><\/i>. He is also developing the feature <\/span>Night Waves<\/span><\/i>.
